During the month of July thousands of Boy Scouts from around the country were in Fayette County for the National Boy Scout Jamboree. Part of the Jamboree consisted of volunteer projects throughout Southern West Virginia. Scout troop 1216 from Connecticut volunteered at Cross Point. The troop provided over 150 man-hours of community service, helping pressure wash the church, pull weeds out of flower beds, and clean windows. Cross Point is grateful for the service these hard-working young men provided.
